This is a deck of cards I did for Zurich Capital Markets, a unit of Zurich Insurance.

Zurich wanted to emphasize investments in science; pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and chemistry. I consider that the pieces aren’t so much scientific as ‘scientistic’, that is, evoking science without being too specific.

I did the the artwork, designed the suit symbols and adapted the typeface. The work was commissioned by Ken Karlic of Karlic Design in Baltimore and the finished deck of cards was part of a complimen-tary gift package.
